Do I need Windows Pro?

No. SidianRDP is built for Windows 10/11 Home — and works on Pro too.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — 21 days in the app after download. No credit card. One trial per PC.

Can I connect from outside my home?

Only if the client can reach the host. Prefer a VPN (any brand). Many VPN adapters need Allow on all networks in the app because Windows marks them Public. Router port-forward is an advanced option with extra risk — strong password required; no cloud relay.

What’s the connection password?

The password you set in SidianRDP — not your Windows sign-in. In 1Remote or similar, clear leftover LoadBalanceInfo if a prior session left one.

What happens if I don’t renew updates?

Paid licenses keep hosting. You stop receiving new app versions until you renew updates.

Is this affiliated with Microsoft?

No. Clients are ordinary Remote Desktop apps; SidianRDP is independent host software.
